There are exciting new features and improvements in software version 2.0 which is the most comprehensive software upgrade yet released for the Stream.

Highlights of 2.0 include: new dedicated bookshelf to save downloaded podcast audio files; audible books will now be announced on its own bookshelf instead of Other Books bookshelf; support of electronic Braille (BRF) files placed on the text bookshelf; support for Rich Text Format (RTF) files on the text bookshelf; support for unprotected Windows Media Audio (WMA version 9); spell mode for text files; ability to disable key beeps and sleep messages; ...and much more. Duxbury Braille Translator version 10.7

DAISY Members Duxbury Systems, Inc. and Design Science, Inc. have collaborated on Duxbury Braille Translator™ (DBT) version 10.7 with support for direct import of Microsoft Word documents containing mathematical equations created with MathType™. This improvement will allow users to author math with MathType in MS Word and then translate those materials to braille via DBT for Windows.

Dolphin EasyReader version 3

EasyReader version 3 joins the list of DAISY playback tools that support reading the DAISY XML file created by the Microsoft 'Save as DAISY XML' add-in. It also reads aloud the DAISY material while synchronizing the words highlighted on screen with speech enabled with Acapela voices.
